First, we have a video you can use to help introduce YouVersion Live to those participating in your event whether a church congregation, small group or concert.

Today we pushed a new update to the Apple iTunes Store for approval. Version 2.1 is really laying a great foundation for a huge release coming in just a few weeks…more about those details in a few days. Anyway, we wanted you to know about what is coming, and what you can expect to see in version 2.1.

People who speak Spanish have a great new option for reading the Bible online and on the go. The Nueva Version Internacional is the latest addition to the growing list of translations on YouVersion. As the number of Hispanic YouVersion users continues to increase, we’re especially excited about launching the NVI.

You can find the new version on YouVersion.com, the mobile version of YouVersion, and every mobile Bible application that’s powered by YouVersion, including the Bible app for iPhone, Android, and Blackberry. We’re thankful to Biblica (formerly the International Bible Society) for their generosity in making the NVI available on YouVersion.

If you have Spanish-speaking friends or family, now is a great time to tell them about YouVersion and the addition of the NVI translation!

YouVersion features Bible translations in 41 different versions and 21 languages, and now BlackBerry users around the world can enjoy new language options for the app itself. We’re extending the global reach for the Bible App to Portuguese, Spanish, German, and French, in addition to English. These languages are localized into the app, which means all the buttons, menus, and settings will be in the language you choose.

Good news for all of our Android users, we’ve just pushed a YouVersion Bible update with plenty of new fixes. Here is a list of the updates in version 1.1:

• HTC Tattoo support. QVGA Resolution (240 × 320)
• Speed enhancements throughout the application.
• The Bible app now scrolls to the proper verse when searching.
• Updated the Profile Picture to match YouVersion.com
• Many fixes to improve stability and reduce crashing of the app.

Today is the highly expected launch of the Verizon Droid. It is the first device with Android 2.0 (Google’s mobile operating system), has a flip out Keyboard and has even been compared to Apple’s iPhone device by several bloggers (TechCrunch, Mashable, cnet).

Well as the new Droid launches we would also like to let everyone know that YouVersion Bible app is now available for mobile phones running Android! Just go to http://youversion.com/download and you will be directed from your Android phone to the free Bible app powered by YouVersion.

The Digerati Team has been working hard and we’ve just released some great new updates for YouVersion, especially for Live. Here is a quick list of the updates just pushed:

• In YouVersion Groups you can now transfer Group Ownership from one account to another.
• Users can now leave a Group they’ve joined.
• Several fixes to search bugs when searching for Events
• And we’ve continued to make the site simpler and easier to use in the new Groups and Events areas.
